Snow Totals…

Brianniznansky Lake Effect snow squalls brought the first snowflakes and first measurable snow in the area this season.  Last night winds shifted more from the west to the north, kicking in the Lake effect snow machine.  Due to the strong winds, light snow showers stretched as far as southern Wisconsin this afternoon, although the accumulating snow only existed in the northern half of our coverage area.  This morning, folks in the northwoods woke up to a couple inches of fresh snow…here is map of snowfall provided by the N.W.S.

Snowamt After this map was created, an additional inch or so of snow fell in a few spots.  Even a brief snow squall brought a half inch of snow as far south as Abbotsford this afternoon…

Land O Lakes:  3.75 "                Eagle River:  3.0"                  Sugar Camp:  2.0"

Crandon:  2.0"                             Tomahawk: 2.0"                    Lake Tomahawk: 2.0"

Phelps:  2.5"                                  Elcho: 1.0"
