According to their website…the Farmers Almanac is set to release their 2011 version on Tuesday, including the long awaited prediction for this upcoming winter.
The Farmers Almanac toots their horn as being 85% accurate, which is hardly the case but hey it’s fun to look at! I’d have to ask what they judge as accurate?? I’m still curious about their secret forecast technique???
The Farmers Almanac couldn’t have been any farther off than their forecast
for us last winter. They predicted a bitterly cold winter for us, which was an extremely risking forecast given the El Nino conditions. They also predicted the Southeast, including Florida to have a warm and wet winter. Well Florida ended up having one of their coldest winters ever.
I don’t really mean to pick on the Farmer’s Almanac..ok maybe a little. But I will fore sure check out their prediction on Tuesday, but I won’t be putting too much weight on it.
…perhaps we can compare The Farmer’s Almanac Forecast with NOAA Climate Prediction Center’s forecast tomorrow.
