The Good and Bad

Yesterday commercials started to air and a message was put on our website that I will be soon leaving Newsline 9.  This was a really hard decision to make, but I have taken a new job with a TV station in Green Bay.  This new position will allow me to advance my career, but more importantly gets me closer to family.  Many of you may know that I am from Racine, WI.  The majority of my family lives in the Racine and Milwaukee area.  While Green Bay isn’t my hometown, it’s closer.  My girlfriend Julie also lives and works in Milwaukee and she will also be moving to Green Bay, where she will likely be able to transfer her job.  Things almost just seemed to just come together for this move.

I do want to say thanks to every single one of you who have welcomed me into this wonderful community.  What a beautiful place this is.  However, I have a few weeks left so I’m going to save the sap for later!! I’m going to do my best to make my last days at channel 9 my best!

We knew that with your personality, great smile, and excellent weather forecasting you would soon leave us. You have a chance to get in the Milwaukee broadcast market and possibly Chicago if you chose to do so. A Rhinelander sportscaster did just that. Good luck where ever you are. We always did like Tony Schumacher also and glad to hear he will be with us again.
