So Long… Farewell!

I can’t believe the day is actually here.  Tonight will be my last night on Newsline 9.  I have so enjoyed all my time here.  The people have been fantastic.  From day one I met people that I knew I would be friends for life with.  It has been a ride for the past couple years, dealing with blizzards, tornadoes, drought, and floods.  But it is Wisconsin and I guess as they say the weather is always changing. Well except for winter…it seems to never end!

The community is one aspect that I have so loved here in Wausau and around North Central Wisconsin.  Everywhere you go, people are overly friendly and welcoming.  It was fun coming back to this area since I grew up only a few hours away in the U.P.  I want to thank especially Big Brothers Big Sisters, United Way of Marathon County, especially Emerging Leaders, and my Parrish, St. Matt’s.  They, plus several other organizations made living and being apart of the community so worth it.  I enjoyed so many fundraisers and events and was blessed to meet so many people who love being a Cheesehead! ( I do too!)

I will be heading to State College, Pennsylvania for my next job.  I have decided to take on a different role leaning towards the Internet.  I will be doing partnerships for the special interests sections on AccuWeather.com.  This includes their travel, health, home, and outdoors sections.  I’m excited for this new path and opportunity but will miss the viewers and the wonderful place I called home for a few years.

This was a pic from my last school talk…taken with Mosinee Elementary.

    Krissy,

Alot of viewers will miss watching you. How do I know? They come into my bank here in Englewood FL & tell me how much they’ve enjoyed your shows in the summer. You had a fantastic last show. I will miss your smile. Love, Mom

Good Luck Kristen. You will really be missed. You were good at keeping us informed not just in our area, but also in the U.P. where we often visit in the summer. Have fun doing what you are going to be doing, that is what counts.

Good luck Kristen. I agree with your comment about the never ending winters! I follow the Accu-weather site too, so likely will see your new work on the outdoors section. My daughters girl scout group and class enjoyed your presentation earlier this year greatly!
