Blessed Rainfall Totals

Wednesday was the second day in a row with numerous showers across the state with some areas picking up substantial amounts.  There were two zones that really got clobbered.  The first was in the northwest part of the state in the late morning.  New Richmond for example picked up 2.41″ from that.  The second zone of very heavy rain was in the southwest corner of the state as a cluster of strong storms rolled through during the early evening.  About 1 to 2″ was fairly common with localized 3″ totals in short period in parts of Grant, Crawford, and Vernon Counties.  In fact it was too much too fast with some street flooding reported in various sections.

Thanks to our weather watchers and storm spotters who sent in rain reports.  It’s kind of fun to talk about and show rain totals again as they have been largely missing from our discussion for weeks in many cases.   I hope your totals keep going up without severe wind and hail attached in coming days and weeks!
