Warmer than normal up to and beyond the July 4th Holiday

If you enjoy very balmy conditions around the 4th of July for spending time at the lake you should be in luck this year.  The latest 8 to 14 day outlook from the Climate Prediction Center indicates a strong chance of above normal temperatures in Wisconsin from July 3rd to July 9th.  Of course this is nearly the warmest time of the year on average anyway.  The normal high is in the low 80s and  the normal low temperature is around 60 degrees.

Actually they are projecting above normal temperatures in about two-thirds of the lower 48 states.  However the Southern Plains and Southwest United States could be cooler than normal.

Meanwhile for rainfall, the CPC suggests Wisconsin could be a bit wetter than normal, especially the southern half of the state.

Notice how much of the nation could potentially have above normal precipitation according to the CPC.  Hopefully some of the flooded areas of the Spring to early Summer will catch a break.
